Sun 8am-6:30pm Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Tour
The motorcoach will leave on Sunday at 8:00am and return at 6:30pm.
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, faithful to the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary through her appearances on the American continent in 1531, serves the spiritual needs of those who suffer poverty in body and soul. It is a place of ceaseless prayer for the corporal and spiritual welfare of God’s children especially those in most need.
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in fidelity to its mission as a place of religious pilgrimage:
- Pays homage to the Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of America and Star of the New Evangelization,
- Honors Our Blessed Mother as the Patroness of the Unborn,
- Educates adult Catholics in their faith and its practices.
In 1995, the Robert Swing family (an Honorary Life Knight) gifted approximately 70 acres to aid then Bishop Raymond Leo Burke to fulfill his vision of a Marian Shrine. Today, this area includes: the Shrine Church and Pilgrim Center; Blessed John Duns Scotus, memorial to the Unborn; Mother of Good Counsel Votive Candle Chapel; Rosary Walk; Stations of the Cross and devotional areas to St. Joseph the Workman and St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
Our special guide on the bus will be District Deputy Bill Swing, son of Robert and Lucille Swing, benefactors of the Shrine.
